I (29f) have always been heavy. I was put in steroid inhalers when I was 4 and ever since I’ve struggled with my weight. I have only successfully lost weight once a couple years ago, but I’ve gained almost all of it back. I was on a low carb high protein diet, and lost over 70 pounds in a year. I know what to do, since that’s the only way that’s worked for me. The problem I’m having is motivation and willpower.
I know I need to eat healthy. I know I need to get more active. But the motivation to even go for a walk isn’t there, and I’m always telling myself not to eat certain things, but I do anyway. I’m hoping someone can give me tips on how to get motivated, and how to improve on willpower. I really don’t want to return to my diabetes diagnosis, and I’d like to not cry every time I look in the mirror.
