Hello!

Hi!

I’m new to reddit and I don’t have a necessarily supportive community IRL, but I heard that this community on Reddit is very supportive!

Umm... I guess I’ll start it off with my goals and what I’ve been doing. Today I weighed myself at 186 lbs and my starting weight was 210 lbs! (I’m 5’5”) It’s been a few months! I used to go to the gym often and do an hour of cardio and another hour of weights, but we had to cancel our gym membership. I want to go out and jog in the mornings but I’m intimidated by other people, I used to be bothered by people while exercising and I get real anxious! It sucks but I need to get back to exercising so until I muster up some courage to run outside I might just do at home workout videos... For nutrition, I try to eat home cooked meals all the time but they tend to vary, I don’t know much about nutrition. So far I started swapping out my big breakfasts for a simple smoothie made up of spinach and various fruits. I don’t add anything extra to them except chia seeds! However I have some binging episodes here and there and a killer sugar addiction that I’m trying to overcome. Please let me know if y’all have any tips!

As for motivation... I become motivated sometimes but other times I get discouraged.For example today I was ecstatic about the weight I had lost and went to go talk about my success with my family and instead my parents poked at my hips and said “Doesn’t seem like you’ve lost that weight. You don’t look like it.” And it was really saddening. I told them that we lose weight from the inside out and they just laughed in my face. I’m not too bothered by how they reacted but it was... a bummer of sorts. I’m not gonna slow down though, eventually they’ll notice the weight I’m shedding and I’ll feel happier healthier!

I don’t know what else to write so I’ll just sign this off now! :-)
