Ive started losing weight, but i need some advice?

So i was at 274 pounds, and wanted to start losing weight. decided to try and stick to a 1200-1500 calorie per day diet. Is this right? Should it be 1200 or 1500? Keep in mind im currently around 250 pounds 6 foot 1 height.

can someone give me advice on what my calorie intake should be?

My current diet consists of pinto beans, white meat, fruit, veggies, white meat sandwich on wheat bread. Sometimes ill have pinto chilli beans wich are an extra 30 calories per serving. Usually they are 130 cal per serving. 3.5 servings per can. Does all this seem ok? The sodium intake from these are high should i worry about that?

Also i only have an eliptical machine & low on frer time. What are some good body weight excercises i can do?
