Jesus Christ those calories add up

We stayed overnight at a hotel, and though I usually don't eat breakfast I thought it would be a waste not to get the free breakfast. I got what in my mind was a moderate breakfast: baked beans, a single pork sausage, a banana, and a 2-egg bacon, cheese, and mushroom omelette. When I tracked it the total came out to over a thousand calories, which leaves me with less than 200 calories for the rest of the day! And I was thinking of getting some bread and OJ too, which definitely would have put me over. It was like I did OMAD for just breakfast.

In retrospect I should have realized this, but it just blows my mind that having what I normally would for a breakfast buffet would blow through my daily calorie budget. Add that to the fact that I was also 600 calories over budget yesterday (ah, hotel food) and yikes.

We have two vacations out of the country coming up too ... how does everyone stick to their calorie limits during vacations and holidays?
