(I looked for the Day 1 automod post but couldn't find the one for today.)
My weight has fluctuated all throughout my life. I would get a lot of energy/motivation to lose weight and then just not care. The lowest I can remember being was 160 lbs. My biggest problem is that gaining and losing weight is such a gradual process that I never really notice all that major of a difference regardless of which range I'm in. The heaviest I've ever been was 230 lbs and looking back I can see how fat I was but at the time it didn't really bother me.
Well, I'm officially back on the wagon after a real injury that I'm pretty sure was compounded by my weight. I have picked up indoor rock climbing as a hobby and I went over the weekend. I was pushing myself and fell about 12 feet off a boulder climb and twisted my knee. I was in in so much pain that I just laid on the floor crying for a good 5-10 min while they assessed the damage. I ended up really hurting my meniscus and I have a follow up appointment to check on the next steps.
That's it; that was the straw for me. I know that I would have been hurt no matter my weight but I know that being a good 40 lbs overweight hasn't helped. I hope that I can just remember the pain I was in and use it as a reminder to stay on track.
