Hi Losers! I lurk here often but this is my first post! I'm not overweight (I'm a fitness instructor, and 27f 5'8 and 155 lbs) but I'm trying to lose a few pounds of extra body fat that have crept on over the past couple years. I feel incredible at 145, so that's the goal, because I really need to up my confidence. I got absolutely wrecked by a man this past August. We had plans to get married, lived together, and I loved him with everything I had.. he got cold feet. I've been feeling like trash in the aftermath, and so I'm trying to do whatever I can to feel better and stronger. Obviously, shedding weight during the holidays is hard, but today I freaking killed it and figured I could share with you guys!
One of my good friends from college lives out of the country, and she was in my city and asked to meet for brunch. Of course I said yes! The place we chose had an insane menu, and as much as I wanted to try one of their specialty eggs Benedict or their bacon and brie omelet, I ordered 2 poached eggs and 3 slices of bacon a la carte. Coffee (splash of cream) to drink instead of a brunch cocktail or 2. Then, I had my company's holiday luncheon. I had just had brunch a couple hour prior, so intead of hitting up the catered buffet of pizza, pasta, wings, and mozzarella sticks (my WEAKNESS), I sipped a diet coke. Then, I had to work a few hours this evening (yay hospitality industry!) and when I went to the break room to have dinner, I didn't touch any of the leftovers, just enjoyed the lunch I packed: Chicken soup, and a salad of roasted zucchini, mushrooms, and beets over greens in a light dressing.
About to head home and enjoy a glass of Pinot Noir. Cheers to a succesful Saturday! I've got a spin class to teach in the morning, and I plan on hopping into the class after mine.
