I would like to ask for some advice on where to begin

Hey everybody, exercise newbie here. I’m sick and tired of being the way I am and I would like to ask for some advice.

I’ve never done much exercise in my life so I have like no stamina. I’ll walk up 20 steps and be exhausted. I’m 26 years old, 6’ tall and 220 pounds. Does anyone know of any like good regiments or something to help me ease into better shape? Most plans I read on Google don’t really seem to know what small steps are. I’m not really looking to bulk up, I just want to get fit.

I would get a trainer or something but I live in a town of like 3500 and the local gym’s been closed for a while, and the closest is about ~30 minutes away. I also live in a colder climate and I don’t really know if the cold would affect me for the worse.

I’ve started drinking about 1.5-2 litres of water a day, but I still drink soda fairly frequently, maybe 3/4 cans a week.

Any recommendations on free apps that could help out or plans that you’ve heard of would be greatly appreciated! Thanks 😊
