I’m not going to make any excuses for where I am. I’m just trying to put as many people in my corner as I can before I try to get back to where I need to be. Today I took measurements with a new scale I got last week: 35 (m) SW: 349.8, 6’2”. I’m not very technologically literate, but I bought a smart scale and an Apple Watch to help me track progress and actually sat down tonight and wrote out goals for my week and month. My wife has (for the first time ever) agreed to go on this journey with me (we both need to, but she hasn’t wanted to and hasn’t really been supportive in the past). I have my brother and friends who will help me be accountable and I even put money on the line through an app. I love my money, so the thought of losing it is definitely something that will motivate me. Don’t worry, it’s not a life changing amount by any stretch.
I’ve been a member of this community for a very long time, and I’ve been in awe at some of the transformations some of you have made. My goal is 50 pounds in 6 months, which is just under two pounds a week. I will be posting an update then.
So this is it, my last piece of accountability. I have, I believe, set myself up for success. I can do this. Let’s go.
