I have the Fitbit Aria Scale and have had it for several years. Because it syncs automatically with MyFitnessPal, I've usually been a "one and done" kind of girl when it comes to my weigh-ins because it annoys me having 3 weights on the chart for a day. I also weigh myself daily in an attempt to keep myself accountable.
So, this morning I stepped on the scale. My first weight said 158.5, which seemed reasonable because my weight yesterday was 158.1. Here's where my mistake comes in - for whatever god forsaken reason, I decide to step back on the scale for a second time. That weight read 155.4! Well, now I had to step on a 3rd time to see which weight was right (here's to hoping for that 3 pound woosh!!). But low and behold, that weight was 165.4! That's when I nearly hyperventilate and have to step on and off as many more times as I could:
165.8
167.1
168.1
166.1
168.9
(I changed the batteries at this point!)
174.1
174.1
169.4
It ranged nearly 20 pounds!
Prior to this morning my last several weights had been:
160.3
160.7
159.2
158.5
159
158.5
Because they all had a reasonable range, I didn't think much of it, but now when I step on the scale, I can't seem to get anything below 165!
I even changed the batteries on my scale thinking maybe low batteries were causing it to go wonky, but it just added an extra 10 pounds!
So, I ask - what scales do you use that are tried and true and loved? I'd really love a smart scale that will sync automatically, and since I'm such an avid Fitbit user, I'd really love for my Fitbit scale to work, but I may lose my mind if this continues.
Now my biggest fear is that I really am closer to 165 and really do have that extra 6-7 lbs to lose to get back to where I thought I was. 🙄
