Shamefully up until recently I did not know that you had to be at a "calorie defecit" in order to lose weight. I know, I know, this is really basic information but prior to joining this sub I thought eating less food (regardless of what that food is) will cause you to lose weight. In my mind mind "shitty" food was just hamburgers fries and pizza, so you can imagine the shock I got when I found out that chicken alfredo has over a days worth of calories in one dish. (which idk if this is true correct me if i'm wrong). I also drank those sugary smoothies "healthy" like "Naked", or those granola bars drenched in honey and chocolate. So far I've been able to stop gaining weight (since november) but I can't get the weight off cause I'm still not eating right (or even exercising). So does anyone have any suggestions for apps they use to track calories?? I think I saw one on the Keto sub that has icons of the food and stuff but I forgot the name of it. Any advice is appreciated.
Also I'm certain I have a distorted perception of what a "normal" sized meal is cause I've been overeating for so long, so as dumb as it sounds, any suggestions for that would be appreciated.
