So, popped over to the Superstore (I guess like Walmart, but, you know, not awful) after work today to pick up a few things. Swung through the clothing section and saw a long-sleeved dress. Which you can never have enough of. Wandered over and took a look - it was cute for being on sale for $11.94. The problem? There was a 1X and a Medium. Nothing in between. So I took both to the changeroom and decided to be brave and try on the medium first. It fit, and it's not tight anywhere. Massive NSV, but the brand (Joe Fresh) is known to be super wonky with sizing and the dress was stretchy. At Christmas I wore another dress from the same place that's an XL and it was still a bit tight. I should probably go see if it is still tight. Very uneven sizes. Still, though. I doubt I've worn anything that said M on it (unless it was a men's size) in close to twenty years. I know I'm still not an actual medium - I may be able to fit a size 12 in some pants, though, but, still. It was $11.94 and I have a dinner party next week. Just thought I'd share.
