I have unfortunately always had the body type where in order to maintain my natural curves I need to diet and exercise. I was on a roll but began losing my motivation to work out after I had my thyroid removed due to cancer.
Shortly afterwards, I had a couple of miscarriages until my pregnancy with little Julian finally stuck. The pregnancy did a number on me and I gained 70 pounds and ended up with preeclampsia. I naturally lost 40 pounds after giving birth but I still have 30 to go. The problem is that between an overall lack of motivation, being a first-time mom, working full-time, and graduate school full-time, I don’t even know how to get started.
It’s pretty depressing because eating like crap and having this excess weight doesn’t have me feeling like myself. What’s pointers do you all have? I would like to lose this extra weight and feel good about myself again. Not to mention that I am supposed to be a gestational carrier for my sister towards the end of this year and I would like to go into the pregnancy without the extra 30 pounds.
