Good news: Since I restarted my journey back in January, although this has been a slow journey, I have lost 10lbs! Hooray!
Except that my clothes don't really fit any better than they did when I started, and the thing is, the majority of my clothes are too small because for the longest time I was too afraid to buy clothes in my actual size and just dealt with what I had, and now I own a bunch of clothes that don't actually look good on me and are uncomfortable to wear, especially now that we are in spring and the weather's warming up -- no one wants to be hot and uncomfortable in tight clothes! I know that they will eventually fit right again if I keep working on this, but in the mean time, this is totally driving me nuts. I hate going through my closet and not being able to find anything to wear, and by that I don't just mean clothes that I'd wear out in public, a lot of times I have trouble simply finding something to wear around the house that doesn't cling to my body or constantly ride up with every move I make. I am constantly tugging at my clothes because they can't stay on my body, and quite frankly, I've had enough. It's super annoying to have to pull down your shirt or pull up your pants every 5 seconds.
Solution would be to find a couple of new things to get me by until I lose enough weight for my clothes to fit okay again, but with this new coronavirus environment resorting everyone to online shopping and limited return policies, I don't really want to put a lot of money into clothes that may or may not fit. It just doesn't seem sensible.
I am pretty much just whining and seeing if anyone else is in my boat. When did your clothes finally start fitting and being comfortable again? That's really the main thing I want. Sure, looking better in my clothes is a big thing, but I really just want to be comfortable again. What would you do if you were in my situation?
