I gained 90 pounds in 2.5 years without realizing it

In my last 2 years of high school I was incredibly stressed and depressed, which lead me to having issues with binge eating. My boyfriend at the time noticed that I was gaining weight and every time he mentioned it I felt horrible. After we broke up in my grade 12 year (for reasons unrelated to my weight) I felt like I completely fell apart. I finished off high school weighing a whopping 225lbs at the height of 5’7.5. This is huge difference than my weight in grade 10 which was 150lbs (I didn’t even realize this is how much I used to weight until I logged into a old MyFitnessPal account). I became super self conscious and only wore sweatpants and hoodies. I am now in my first year of university and weigh 240lbs. I have come to terms with my weight increase and would like to change for the better. I am definitely doing better mentally and would like to be healthier physically. My goal is to get down to 180 pounds eventually. I am hoping for advice and motivation from others :) please leave some words of encouragement for me ❤️
