So, I've been here before, but life got stressful and I gained 50 pounds. Ooops. This month I decided to do something about this. I was tired of being tired. My clothes were not fitting, I could no longer go for long walks without getting sore. I was constantly bloated and I had developed heart burn when I went to sleep. Not fun. I was eating poorly and knew that was why I was not feeling too great.

I started on June 16th. I've decided to try a low carb food approach. I was eating so many processed carbs before and I was bloated and sluggish. Was not fun. So far, I have found this to be working quite well for me. My husband is doing this alongside me as I do the majority of the cooking right now. We both are feeling much more awake now, less bloating and have both lost weight thanks to the change of our diets.

I have not been counting calories at all either. I did that last time and I honestly found it very tiring and time consuming. I know a lot of people have had success with it, and I did last time I lost weight as well. But so far I have been doing well. I have some simple rules for myself that I am trying to follow that just make my life easier.

Here's to hoping I can continue to lose all this weight and fit into the bags of clothes sitting in the spare bedroom.
