And I lost one inch around my waist and hips. I'm 180 lbs, 5'7, been active most of my life, and gained about forty pounds over the last five years. It's taken a lot for me to try and lose the weight, but I haven't felt as motivated to do it as I do now. I heard about Chloe Ting on Twitter a few months ago and thought it was one of those pseudo fitness IG models that push to sell their protein powder and tell you keto is the only way to go. I couldn't have been more wrong! I started the challenge because a friend of mine recommended it, and since we're quarantined I thought I might as well give it a try.
The workouts are definitely challenging, especially for anyone who isn't used to HIIT workouts or cardio, or anyone who hasn't worked out in a long time (me). However, after the third or fourth day, I actually started to feel a difference. I could do the exercises more easily, could hold planks for longer, and generally felt myself getting fitter. I took a picture of my torso the day I started the challenge (bottom left pic) just in case I saw it through and made progress. When I took the same pics the last day of the challenge, I was genuinely blown away. It might not be an impressive or extreme change, but I feel stronger than I have in years! And my stamina is the best it's ever been! Tomorrow I start her 4 week summer shred challenge and I couldn't be more excited about it. I think if you're interested in trying it, you should definitely give it a go!
About the pics: top left is last summer, at my heaviest weight and most unfit state. Bottom left is the day I started the challenge. Top and bottom right are the "after" pics, the day I finished the challenge.
