I've been dieting (for the first time in my life), and I'm happier with the changes and the process than I expected to be. I feel more in control of my life.

I realized a while ago that I was only a few pounds from being technically obese and decided to do something about it. I haven't told any of my family or friends that I am trying to lose weight.

Other than counting calories, I haven't really changed anything other than trying to go on more walks.

I'm 6 out of 25 pounds to my goal (3 months in), and I never realized before how chaotic I was about food. I was regularly bouncing between 1000 and 3000 calorie days for no reason. Some days I wouldn't really eat at all, some days I would eat a ton. None of it was planned, I just didn't pay attention.

Meal planning and calorie counting has me eating regularly and more healthy, and I never realized how off I was feeling before.

My ADHD is more under control, my insomnia is better, my IBS is better than it has ever been, and my resting heart rate is at the lowest it has ever been since I started keeping track (when I was in much better shape but ate unhealthily).

I definitely won't go back to how I was eating before once I reach my goals. I'm so happy with how I feel now.
