Hi! I am a female 5’2’’ and 114 pounds. My original weight in January was 132 so I lost quite a bit through intermittent fasting (at first I skipped breakfast and recently moved on to skipping dinner instead, both doing about 18/6) and at home strength workouts. I dont necessarily have a goal weight (I go more by progress pictures and measurements), but I would say around 105 pounds to lean out and really visualize my muscle tone. Fasting has been amazing for me and I saw great results, until I hit a plateau in the beginning of May to this day of around 113-114. I felt too weak restricting myself more and cutting calories since I already wasn’t eating much naturally, and often found myself binging and overthinking diet whenever I would try to fast. I haven’t gained much weight on the scale with all that, but I definitely feel more sluggish with the binging and restricting routine for the past month.

Considering I saw great results with IF, should I keep trying to return to my schedule or should I give it up and have 3 square meals a day? The last few days I have been eating balanced meals with a good calorie restriction and I have been loving it and having great energy, but the only time I have ever lost weight (especially this stubborn bit since I am relatively healthy looking) is through IF. In other words, can I lean out with 3 square meals or is IF pretty much the only way if that is all that has worked in my history?

(I understand that fat loss from IF is mainly due to calorie restriction, but never in my life have I had success without IF. Should I force myself to continue try to fast possibly at the expense of my mental sanity around dieting?)
