Hey guys, I’m looking for some tips or advice from someone who may have been in the same situation as me or just anyone with ideas! I’ve been trying to lose weight for some time now, but the environment/living situation I’ve been in has not been the best.
My living situation with my parents is not and has never been the healthiest. My mom is a extreme hoarder. There’s no room in the kitchen to cook a meal. Making something in her kitchen that would normally only take half an hour ends up taking three times as long just trying to get through the kitchen. There’s no space in the fridge for me to keep any fresh food. I’ve tried to buy lowcal/lowcarb frozen meals, buying Greek yogurt to have for breakfast, intermittent fasting and soft-counting calories to try and lose at least something.
I was inspired by someone else who posted something here and I made a list of embarrassing things about my weight. What really did it for me though was an old friend reaching out to spend some time together. I feel so scared for her to see me like this, 60 lbs heavier and almost no one recognizes me any more. Right after she reached out to me I signed up for a membership at my local gym right away. I’m tired of feeling this way about myself and not even recognizing who I see in the mirror.
I obviously don’t expect anything to happen overnight. I know it takes time and I want to do this the best way possible in the situation I’m in.
I’d love some of your ideas on ways I can eat healthy despite my living situation. I would appreciate any advice or products you recommend.. thank you :)
