I’m the healthiest I’ve ever been! 65lbs down
I started January 6th 2020, after I was absolutely disgusted at what I had become and was effecting me at work. 6 months later I’ve used CICO and consistent training to get me to where I am. But I’m not done yet my new goal is for the first time in my fat boy life I’ll be pursuing the 6 pack I’ve never had.
For the CICO part I stuck to 1500 cal a day and I was pretty strict on what I ate and when I ate. This was measuring everything out and weighing it and only eating 3 times a day. This was ok for the first couple of months while I learned what each thing was calories wise; ie a palm full of cheese 90 cal, a banana 100 cal, and an egg 70 cal. This was the building blocks to the diet I now have which was influenced by everyone’s favorite doctor Greg Doucette. Now I eat 5 times a day and still only 1500 calories and I never feel hungry and isn’t a struggle to be more active with less fuel from when I first started this journey. ALSO tracking macros isn’t important you will get enough protein eating 5 times a day and build muscle don’t waste time tracking macros when the bottom line is CICO.
For workout routine it has been very basic and consistent. 3 workouts; Shoulder/back/biceps , Chest/triceps , and good ole Leg day. This was done in rotation twice a week with a day off whenever I felt I needed it. This workout routine has allowed me to maintain muscle while losing fat.
Lastly thank you all for y’all motivation throughout it all and keeping me in line with the posts I see from other people doing the same thing I’m trying to do.
