Hi all! I'm hoping you guys have some words of wisdom for me. I am working on a calorie deficit as well as trying to work out at least 4 times a week. I know the calorie deficit is the most important part of losing weight, but I find working out consistently really motivates me somehow when it comes to staying within my calorie limits and avoiding things that might easily break it, like rich sweets which I crave during this time. However, my cramps are so constant and exhausting starting three days before my period and well into the week that the idea of riding my stationary bike is awful as well as anything calisthenic. I'm just so worried about the constant tugging on my abdominal muscles making things worse. Is this an unfounded concern? I would just walk instead, but I live in Texas and the days start and end uncomfortably hot or warm and extreme heat is nauseating in general, especially during my period. It just sucks because every month I end up not working out for about a week because of this and it makes creating a habit of working out consistently difficult. What do you guys do to combat this? I've thought about just restricting my calories more during the week, but I tend to be MORE hungry during that time, especially since I work at an active job. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated!
