Let me say that body dysphoria, anorexia and binge eating can be seriously damaging. They got me good! But I was able to turn it around by UNPLUGGING from the negativity around me (especially online and in the media) and instead focusing on what is truly IMPORTANT. What I learned is that my body is a sacred moving temple, an Altar! It deserves my love, my consideration, my care. I started to eat as a form of respecting my body. As I chose nourishing foods I began to feel better. Then I fell in love with feeling better. That started an UP THE HILL snowball. I am 10 months into this new life with a new philosophy, a new reality. The biggest thing I learned? Do what is right for you, do what you believe in. If I listened to everybody, I wouldn't eat broccoli because it's carcinogenic, I wouldn't be on a calorie deficit because of "starvation mode", I wouldn't eat healthy fats from whole milk because dairy is Satanic, I wouldn't exercise because I'd "just eat it all back." These are lies. This is non-sense. You know how to do this. Let's keep going together on this journey. You guys taught me so much! I'm thankful.
