Hi everybody! I just wanted to share this story to remind people not to give up there are multiple changes in your body that will happen when you incorporate the right diet and exercise. 5 months ago I started the keto diet when I hit my heaviest (F, 26, 5’6) at 182 pounds. I lost a ton of weight super quickly. I’ve lost 24 pounds so far and would like to lose at least 18 more. The gym opened back up about a month ago. It’s hard for me to go since they are only open from 6am to 7pm Mon-Fri and I work 50+ hours a week but I find the time because I loathe working out at home, it’s just boring to me. The scale hasn’t budged in about 3 weeks which can be really demotivating. However, in the past week and a half I have seen dramatic improvements in my workouts and energy levels. I do more HITT style workouts now where I can go for 40 minutes straight only resting for 1 minute between supersets. I feel awesome, my cardio fitness score (based on my Fitbit) at my heaviest was poor, then for about a year of working out moderately sat at fair, and yesterday I hit average! It’s so exciting for me because I was the person in high school who literally refused gym class and hated exercise. Now I love it, I’ve upped my weights on everything about 10 pounds in the past week and half and can go for more reps. I’m happy the whole time I’m at the gym, I crave the feeling of being sore because I pushed past any mental or physical limit I ever thought I could and am super proud of myself. Just don’t give up! Even if the scale isn’t moving you are doing wonderful things for your mental and physical well being and it takes time, dedication, and patience. Do what makes you happy 😊 cheers.
