40yo male 6'1",
I was 260 lbs in February
This morning I stepped on the scale to see 199 lbs. I haven't been under 200 lbs in about 17 years. I have gone from size 40 pants down to size 34, XXL shirts down to L. Id be in a medium shirt but the last of my body fat is hanging on with my man boobs and gut flap, lol. And, Im not seeing myself wrong(dysmorphia), I still have big man boobs. They have definitely gone down in size but still quite present. If it was just the gut I wouldn't care, but big man boobs is just embarrassing. Still determined to lose them, so not quitting now.
Ive been on a 1500 calorie diet since around April with a lot of days around 1200 and probably once a week as high as 2000. Ill still eat out when family goes or at an event and don't let it bother me, its just part of living. Im eating a LOT better food than I used to. I don't starve myself and have realized that 1200-1500 calories is a lot of food if eating clean.
I know there is a huge difference in how I look, I see it and everyone I know sees it. I was pre-diabetic before and now Im not. I was hoping losing weight would help with my back pain(have had 3 back surgeries) but its honestly about the same. Im proud of losing 60 lbs and don't have a goal weight anymore, just want to get my body to where Im happy with it and not embarrassed to take my shirt off. But, its pretty cool to be able to say Ive lost 60 lbs and weigh 199.
