I'll keep it short. Lost a bunch of weight through healthy eating, walking 5 miles to\from work, and hiking on weekends. Still need to drop more weight and I am probably going to get to my ideal weight by New Years. I started doing weight training 3 times a week, but that's more recent. Instead of walking, I try to jog or even run. And now I started cycling. I have very mild Asthma, but it doesn't really bother me that much. My problem is that I seem so out of shape that I am still having problems with strength and endurance. I get so tired, so sweaty, so out of breath, that I almost pass out. Any type of incline, whether walking, hiking, or cycling, I can barely make it and then need time to recover. Same at the gym, when I push my limits, I feel how out of shape I am. So my question\concern is whether this is normal or not? Am I just really out of shape and need more time, and I am just being impatient, or am I just a freaking alien who can never get in shape? Again, I've been out of shape and a 100 lbs overweight for the last 10 years. I am 41 Male and I am determined to get in shape if it's the last thing I do. Do I need just need to continue? Do I need to push harder? What do I do to get into the top shape of my entire life?
