HELP with skinny fat

I am trying to do a body recomposition where i get rid of my "skinny fat". I have done the work with finding out my nutrition plan and have incorporated a weight lifting routine. The problem is that i LOVE running/cardio. I used to run 6-10 miles every day. I have significantly cut that back to 3 miles 3 times a week (mostly jog/sprint/walk intervals rather than steady pace) because everyone and everything that I have read tells me that I need to do less cardio and more weights to get rid of skinny fat. My question is how much cardio would be too much? I dont want to put in all of this work to not get results because I am still running too much. Has anyone dealt with this problem at all?
