School started and I'm overweight. I need somewhere to start.

I'm 5'4, 14F, and 160 pounds, and while it's not so terrible now, I can tell it's only going to get worse. Everyone in my school is just so perfectly sized, and I'm tired of feeling insecure. I usually eat two meals at school, yogurt or poptarts in the morning and whatever they're serving in the afternoon. The real problem, though, is my snacking habits. As soon as I get home I'll eat a bunch of snacks before dinner, today it was an ice cream cone, a popsicle, and a half a sleeve of crackers. I know what I'm doing is mega bad for me, but as soon as I start trying to diet or excersize, I always quit. I realized how out of shape I was a few days ago, when I decided that I would run on the treadmill for a half hour, and quit like, 5 minutes in. Also, gym class is a pain because things are jiggling that I don't want to jiggle. Please tell me where to start losing weight, and maybe give me an idea of a goal I should set.
