Two years ago I would have laughed if you'd told me I'd be wearing cardigans today. I'd rolled my eyes if you told me I would learn to like tank tops. But after losing nearly 80 lbs (from a 33 bmi to about 20), I've found my sense of style change considerably. Hell, even my interest in clothes has changed so much. I used to hate shopping as a teenager into my adulthood. Now, at 31, I suddenly find myself enjoying it!
But back to style. When I was obese, all I wore were jeans and gaming tshirts. I still love the combo, but I'm wearing slim fit styles that show off my much more slender waist. And they don't even have to be gaming related, anymore (though I still enjoy them plenty)!
In fact, even though I'm nowhere near underweight, I find it difficult to find tops that are close fitting enough for me. Shorts that are labeled extra small are often enormous. I know vanity sizing is a thing, but are people also tending toward looser fitting clothes? I honestly think I feel a need to wear slim clothes, because if I don't I might appear 'fat'? I get that's a problem I should honestly work on, but I got off on a tangent and I apologize.
Who else has experienced a major shift in style after losing weight??
