hi. I’ve been struggling lately with falling back to bad habits. Here’s my deal. At Christmas, I had reach my biggest weight ever. F37, 5’4, 164lbs. I set up a goal to lose 30lbs. I reach it over the summer and decided to go 10 more. I’m now at 123, but still have some belly fat and thight fat that I do want to lose.
Over the last months, I’ve been really good at counting calories, watching out for carbs (biggest problem was too much pasta and rice and a sweet spot for gummies), exercising regularly and walking with my dog. I lost small but steady, week after week.
But late summer was though, more eating out, more alcool and work got crazy 2weeks ago and will be up until december. I’ve had a tough time lately to keep focus, less motivation for exercising and a tougher time resisting very bad calories (mostly snack). Lunch/dinner are usually fine and still on track.
This subreddit gave me great insight and tips over the last few months, so thank you for that! But I guess what I want to ask is what are your tips for when life gets in the way? how do you keep focus when you’re “almost there but not quite yet” and motivation is fading?
thanks for reading all the way!
