Hi everyone! I'm trying to lose 15lbs. I've been very careful with my diet. I never starve myself but I've been very conscious about cooking with less oil, using less meat, and including lots of vegetables and fruit.
For example, in a day I have oats with some milk and a banana for breakfast, some lentil pasta with a homemade tomato sauce with mushrooms and a small side of spinach and cherry tomatoes with some parmesan for lunch, 2 squares of dark chocolate and an orange as a snack, and some paprika rubbed chicken breast with some cumin rice and lentils with bell peppers and broccoli.
(Would also appreciate some feedback on the meals because I am trying my best to be healthier)
I also started working on alternate days, with lighter workouts over the week and more intense ones over the weekend since I work (I leave at 7.30am and am back at 6.30pm so I'm pretty tired on weekdays). This has been going on for about a few weeks now.
But I have this problem where I tend to feel guilty when I have something that isn't healthy. For example, last week I went to have a slice of pizza (in New York so the slice is actually the size of my head) and I felt horrible after and kept worrying about my weight. I'm visiting some relatives over the weekend and they tend to cook with more oil, dairy and a lot more carbs. It's home cooked traditional food so I want to enjoy myself without feeling guilty. I know a cheat day or 2 is ok. But I can't stop the feeling of guilt. How do you suggest I cope with it?
(This was a very long post and I'm sorry I got so rambly. Just that I'm really trying and I really want to change, but at the same time not deprive myself of things that I love)
