Hi all, I have been losing weight for the last few months. I’m a 6’0 male and weighed 229 at my max, this morning I weighed myself and was 197.8. This is great for me because it means I have been doing well and my goal is to lose 20-25 more pounds. That being said, I still feel like I’m struggling trying to reach my 1500 calorie a day goal.
My diet has been really good; low carbs, low fat, high protein and fiber. The problem is that I find myself eating less because I’m just not as hungry as I used to be and I drink a lot of water in order to curb my hunger. Am I heading down a wrong path and if I am, how can I add more calories to what I’m eating in order to reach that goal. As an addendum to my question, is there any nutrient I should value more than another when I’m trying to lose weight? Or does going over specific macro goals not matter and the only thing that should matter should be the amount of calories.
