Okay, so I'm trying to figure out why the scale isn't going anywhere. It's hovered at 247-248 for the last 2.5 weeks (had a big 8.5lb drop on week one, then nothing) despite being strict with my calories, drinking water until I'm floating, and doing some form of exercise almost daily. I'm wondering if I'm being too strict with my calories and possibly forcing my body into starvation mode?? I've been eating around 1200-1400 calories a day, but I have noticed that the scale is moving more after I've had a higher day than a lower day if that makes sense. I've plugged the numbers into a couple different TDEE calculators, and it keeps coming up with much higher calorie goals (1900+).
My days used to look like 3500+ calories and I "maintained" between 255 and 261 for like a year, just eating huge fattening meals 3 times a day. Is it possible I've cut too many calories too fast and my body is just kinda freaking out? Or possibly that I'm building muscle and that's why the scale isn't moving? It's super frustrating to not see progress when I'm working soo hard. Any insight or advice would be super welcome.
