I’ve been calorie counting for a while, and I haven’t liked how it’s encouraged me to reach for the packaged, less nutrient dense options most of the time. I decided to try more intuitive eating, but also make the change that all of my meals will be primarily fruit or vegetable based. So for example, instead of having a turkey sandwich for lunch, I’ll have a salad with a few slices of turkey on it. I feel like this has been going pretty well, but I also feel a little softer and puffier, and I was wondering if it could be because I’m eating way more vegetables? While I haven’t been counting my calories, I’ve done it for so long that I feel like I have a pretty good idea of the range I’ve consumed in a day, and if anything, I’ve been eating less, because the vegetables fill me up! I was wondering if anyone else had experience with this? TIA!
