How to start?

I know the title is basic and I apologise for that, but hopefully someone takes the time to read this. I’m nearly 16, about 5”7 (1.71m) and I weigh 74-75kg. Was gonna post this on r/loseitteens but that sub seems dead, so here I am.

Anyway, the problem is that I’m type 1 diabetic, since birth. I’ve always struggled with managing my blood sugar levels and I know that if I ate better, lost weight and did more exercise I’d become better, and while I know those are the necessary steps I have to take (for me) it’s so hard to put the plan into action. I want to grow more because I’m quite small among my classmates, and I feel as though losing weight would also benefit me both physically and mentally.

Again, sorry for the generic title but honestly, I’m kind of clueless. Any help would be appreciated, thank you all :)
