What really helps me with motivation (image included)

I've been reading here a lot about people writing and not finding the motivation and how they struggle. I started my weightloss journey on a whim, I stood on the scale and saw that it read 256 lbs and I was like.. that's too much. In kgs its triple digits. My limit goes at double digits tyvm.

So I started this journey and had no expectations or anything or pressure on myself at all. I just bought a food scale, downloaded My fitness pal, later bought premium to easily see my macros. Bought a fancy body scale just to be able to see an accurate weight.

I've gone from 256 lbs to 211 lbs in 4 months.

Also what really helps me a lot is this list I've made: motivational list

I keep it on my phone. I look at it every now and then. I move around the gifts and treats that I want depending on what I feel like. For every 5 kgs I lose I get myself a gift. A non food related gift.

Things I've gotten myself from the beginning of my journey include: a new tattoo, parts for my skates to roll in ramps etc, a game, a haircut, and yesterday I bought myself a kettlebell and bunch of different resistance bands.

I've noticed for years that being a member at gyms never works for me because I barely go, so how about bringing the gym home to me and having no excuse? Slowly adding more and more tools for working out at home and using youtube videos. First i exercised with my body weight because it's hard enough but now i can try adding the resistance bands!

Anyways, I've lost 45 lbs since july and thought I'd share a little tip with people looking for ways to motivate themselves! Who doesn't have a list of things they want to buy but can't justify.. well if you earn it and save up the money for it, treat yourself.

Also it doesn't have to be expensive things at all! The thought that counts.
