Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to read this and respond to me I really appreciate it. I just started a lot of lifestyle changes this past month and was looking for advice , a lot of articles are read are overwhelming confusing. So I was hoping to get some help here.
A little about me first : I'm 29, Ive had a crazy metabolism my entire life, which allowed me to eat whatever I Wanted and seriously not gain any weight. (That has changed now.) I smoked for 12 years (Today is 2 months nicotine free.) I exercised a lot as a kid, and then for about 6 years, I dont think I exercised at all. ( I now run 2 or 3 days a week, do at home small workouts and play basketball at least once a week.) over the past year, I developed a "Pouch" on my waist, and I absolutely hate it. So now that I've quit smoking, I've decided the next step is to eat healthy.
What I've Done : I'm soda free and Junk food free as of 2 weeks ago. I've been eating a lot of protein. (Chicken, Peanut butter, etc.) I've replaced the junk food snacking with either kiwi, apples, bananas, carrots, etc. I've changed my every day work lunch from taco bell to either a salad with chicken, bacon and cheese(Thousand island dressing.) Or chicken and brown rice. For dinner sometimes its eggs, wheat toast and a protein shake, sometimes its the healthy choice meals i can get from the grocery store with a banana and a protein shake.
My question: I'm wondering what other advice people would give someone who has no idea how to eat healthy and burn stomach fat. I feel as though I'm taking the correct steps but at the same time I dont want to be doing something wrong and actually gain more weight. Any advice will be really helpful. Thank you so much.
