Progress Updates

I'm a 6'0 tall 23 year old female SW 402 CW370.

Here's what I'm doing

  • 9 weeks ago I made it a goal to walk 3 miles 6 days a week. I'd be lying if I told you I did 6 walks a week every week. But I try my best.
  • Cut video game time down. I spend my time before work walking, showering, cleaning, or relaxing. I don't wake up and play games > go to work > come home and play games
  • Drinking more water. Try to at least do 1 gallon a day if not more. I have a large Yeti bottle that I carry everywhere
  • Started taking Vyvanse (prescribed by psychiatrist) for Binge Eating Disorder. It's not a cure all fool/proof thing. I'm doing all the work but its assisting me in building better habits by reducing appetite.
  • Joined Eating Disorders Anonymous meetings. They were in person but are now on Zoom.
  • Allow myself to take time off. Not forcing myself to go on a walk if I need to take care of my mental health. Being gentle with myself in knowing that I can't be perfect, but I'm trying my best.

Here's the benefits I've seen -

  • I am willing to take the stairs more at work now
  • I am less (still very) self conscious of my body
  • Today I went on a walk and didnt stare at the ground when someone walked by. I made eye contact and tried to smile if I saw them look at me.
  • Feel less alone - from EDA meetings
  • Going from 0 to 6+ hours of fresh air a week has helped my mental health tremendously. Theres something to be said about seeing the sun as much as possible.

thanks for reading! ill keep yall updated
