Hello losers,
Happy Sunday! Do any of you have exciting meal preps going on? I have a white bean, veggie & ham shank soup going. It's a favorite of mine, it always delivers such tasty flavor.
Weight by end of month (199 lbs, preferably trend weight): No weigh in this morning.
Stay within calorie range (1500 weekdays, maintenance weekends, NO FAST FOOD): Maintenance. Ready to aim for a deficit tomorrow.
Exercise 5 days a week: Rest day. 14/20 days.
Self-care journaling (once a week, 60 minutes): Did some last night & today. 3/3 weeks.
Self-care time (working on love journals, beauty treatments, staying on top of adulting, drawing 7/20 days): Got my meal prep handled & worked. That's enough for today.
Try a new recipe once a week: Experimenting with pumpkin puree, slightly different chili recipe & an oil based vinaigrette salad dressing. 3/5 weeks.
50 pages of The Body Keeps the Score: Not tonight kids. 0/50 pages.
Be more mindful, present in my body & express gratitude to avoid the hedonic treadmill: I am grateful for steady employment & the current very trying opportunity I have to make additional income at my usual gig.
On that note, I feel like I've been a bad example of positive self talk lately. So I will encourage you all to give yourself some love & empathy. Every day is a new opportunity to succeed. Look at the path you're on with kindness for yourself as a flawed human being that is striving for better. In my case, many things about this summer were very different about all my routines. It was a very stressful summer for many reasons too. And it is still one of the more stressful times of my personal life & many people in the world's too.
So, cut yourself some slack & make sure you are still being kind to you. I'm bad at it but I'm still trying & you all are rocking it!
Your turn.
