Hello to everybody in this community! I'm trying to get some help in determining if I should be eating more/around how many more calories.
For starters, I have been overweight/obese for years. I'm currently 17, 5'8, a female, and my highest recorded weight was 220 LBS. My goal weight is to be at 135 LBS. I cut my calorie intake to 1250 a day back in the beginning of June. With a mix of counting cals consistently and some cardio maybe 2-4 times a week (around 2-4 mile runs on trails near my home), I lost around 25 pounds so far. Currently, I'm at 195-ish pounds.
I'm really interested in weight training to become stronger and toned. I lifted for my first time and it was great! Pretty light weights because I'm weak, but I enjoyed it more than just doing cardio workouts.. I just don't know how much I should be eating with very new and foreign exercises to me. (Also because it can speed up metabolism?) Any insight is helpful. Please feel free to ask questions and I'll get back as soon as I can.
