How to Lose The Fat with Health Conditions

Hey all,

I'm at my highest weight and biggest size. 240 lbs, and scarier to me, a 48" size stomach. I could care less what the number on the scale says, to me it's the stomach size that needs to go down. I'm looking to get to a 35" stomach, which feels impossible to get. I'd be happy with 40" though.

I'm trans FtM, and my weight has gone up a LOT since going on testosterone. But that's not something I can stop doing, so please don't suggest it. I know that puts the fat gain on the stomach instead of on hips and thighs.

I also have hypothyroid, and am on several medications with a side effect of weight gain, so it feels like the cards are stacked against me. I also have asthma, and I'm on the west coast, which means outside exercise isn't really an option and I refuse to go to the gym during this pandemic. Asthma also flares up with intense exercise. But I'm willing to keep working at it.

Eating health has been a challenge for me because of my food allergies (tree nuts, dairy, eggs) and IBS (broccoli is the most painful thing in the world, as is beans). But I'm willing to work around.

For me, my motivation is making sure I don't turn out like my family. They're all morbidly obese and have severe health problems associated with that. Everyone on my mom's side of the family is diabetic (I kid you not, EVERYONE.) Everyone that I know of has sleep apnea (pretty sure I do as well), and they've had to have several surgeries because of body parts just failing to work due to the stress of all of the weight.

I also just...feel like I have to sit back from life a lot. I don't want to be a passive observer, I want to be an active participant. I feel tired all the time, and even "normal" exertions are exhausting for me.

Currently, I'm looking for work, so I have more time but less money. Any and all advice appreciated.
