I occasionally run for a half mile or less, but I usually just walk on the treadmill at an incline a few times a week. Today I decided to just go for it and run a full mile and I actually accomplished it.
I’m a 6’1” 27 year old man and so far I’ve went from 323.2 pounds at the end of June to 271.5 pounds as of today. Back then I wasn’t active at all and didn’t care to be until I decided to start losing weight.
I don’t know exactly how long it took me to run a mile since I decided to while I was already on the treadmill, but I want to say it was around 10 minutes. Not great, but it’s a start. I didn’t drop down to a walking pace at all until I was finished. I feel like I had the endurance for more, but all the fat bouncing around made my back hurt something fierce.
You all may think this post is pointless. I just felt like sharing. This is literally something I’ve never been able to do before, even when I had to run a mile in high school gym class when I weighed less.
Looking forward to running some more. That is all.
