Title pretty much says it all....do y’all count calories from gum?
Someone suggested to start chewing gum, as it helps curb cravings. However, I went all in, as with everything smh. I’ll eat 3 or more packs/day (sugar free). So far it seems like a miracle. I’m recovering from bulimia and it really helps to satisfy cravings without turning to food for comfort/binge eating.
However, I just realized how many calories this actually amounts to (around 300) and needless to say am freaking out. It doesn’t “feel” like 300 calories, but my lord, if it really is, would probably be better off just eating more food. 300 calories is like an entire meal (for me).
Can anyone provide insight on how they account for gum calories, and if it affects your body the same way as normal food? Do you count the calories, do you eat a lot of it, have you noticed a difference in your weight etc?
I realize it would be better to eat less of it but.....I’m kind of a compulsive eater and sugar addict who craves a new stick every few minutes. Right now it’s helping but I WONT keep chewing gum if it’s really ~5 calories per stick.
