I lost 35 lbs eating 1400-1600 calories per day. It took about 8 months. I took a maintenance break after leaving the obese range and have gotten 'back into it' recently.
I never felt satiated on 1400 or 1600 no matter what I ate. And I know all the tricks, satiating foods, etc. I just felt somewhat hungry most of the time. I used to be totally against eating less. I figured I would be miserable, dizzy all the time, who knows.
This time, I decided to try something radical. I figured, "Since I'm never really satisfied anyway, why not try 1200?" I'm a short woman and my doctor said that's totally fine.
Anyway, I feel almost exactly the same as I did eating 1400-1600. Still hungry much of the time but not noticeably more than before. I dunno how that works.
I just thought I'd post in case it helps anyone? Any thoughts?
