SV: I stepped on the scale this morning and saw a number I haven't seen since middle school: 214 I have typically avoided weighing myself regulary, but based on some advice here I am weighing myself everyday and logging in my results into Happy Scale (Iphone app). I recognize this dip could just be for today, so I want to make sure to log the rest of the week to see the trends. Even if it is just a blip for today, it is very encouraging! I don't think I have ever been at this low of a weight in my adult life. I am so happy I could cry (but I am at work and don't want to alarm my coworkers haha). It felt so great to change my flair to -20!!!!
NSV: All of the foreign teachers in my program met in Seoul this weekend for a huge thanksgiving dinner. A lot of my friends live in distant provinces, so I only see them at these major events. Since moving to my placement in mid august I have only seen a few of them. At our fall conference in October I had lost close to 15 pounds but no one really noticed. But now that I have lost around 20 pounds several people made comments. It was so validating and makes me feel even more motivated. I am on track to reach my first goal weight by March and the next time we will all be together is mid April. Since our spring conference is on Jeju island (an island off the southern coast of South Korea) I am excited for the prospect of feeling more confident and comfortable in my body so I can enjoy the beach.
