1 Week Reflection - I can do this. I will do this!

Started tracking calories and overall eating healthier this past week. I am 5’9 and weigh 263 pounds. Last Saturday I weighed in at 275. I know a lot of it is water weight and you lose much faster at the start as your body gets used to burning fat. But it is still encouraging!

I’ve been staying between 1500-1800 calories. Lots of water, no bread/sugar, and eating at least 1 salad per day. Not quite sure why I decided that but it’s been working so I’m sticking with it!

My goal weight is 160 pounds. It will most likely take the entirety of 2020 but I’m kind of excited about that. I know the end game is maintenance so I really wanna enjoy the journey and not rush to get to my goal.

On another note I feel like it will actually stick this time, because this is the first time I’ve tried to lose weight and I didn’t absolutely hate myself. I actually kind of like myself and I just wanna get better. Before I had a mindset of “my life will really start when I’m X weight”. And I think that’s why I couldn’t ever stick to it.

Have you ever felt that way? What finally clicked that made you stick to it?
