Hey guys. You had wonderful advice last time I was in need so here is my current issue.
I have invested some money into using one of the personal trainers at the gym to help me build a more effective work out. On Friday I had a first session where he walked me through all the exercises, made adjustments, and checked forms to make sure I knew what I was doing. It was great.
Friday afterward I was tired and sweaty but not really sore. Like I had done a lot but stayed within my limits which is a must because I have a 1 & a 3 yr old kids. I need to be able to haul around 50lbs of kid after my workouts without hating my life.
Saturday morning sucked. My muscles felt abused and I definitely felt it. I tried gentle stretches. And low key activity. Sunday morning I felt like trash. My muscles fought me on everything. Even getting out of bed hurt. This is the second time this has happened. If pattern repeats tomorrow will suck less and I'll ve back to normal on Tuesday.
The first time was the same. The day I did the workout I felt fine. I didn't have any indication I had over done it until the next day.
I guess this feels not normal to me? Or I just have no idea how to build a work out if I can't figure out how to not over do? I've emailed the personal trainer so we can try again next Friday with a new work out plan.
How do you guys up your work out? How do you find your limits? What does normal feel like?
I have been doing 4-3 interval cardio on the treadmill and yoga before this but I knew I was missing whole muscle groups and wanted variety.
