Have I just not found the right fit yet, or am I way off somewhere and don't know it?

Kex here. I'm going to start with a few details! F/28. CW: 277 GW: 150 5'6".

I've been doing CICO for a month now, 1100-1200 calories carefully measured and accounted for each day in MyFitnessPal.

On top of CICO, I have pretty much cut processed sugar out and eat as few carbs as possible because of my PCOS (Official goal is less than 100g carbs a day, though ideally I prefer to be closer to 50-60. Not always able to stay that low, though. Working on self control.) Started this 2 weeks ago.

With no progress since the 5 pounds I lost week 1, I have reduced my sodium intake and increased my water intake to try to avoid/minimize water retention. I started this on Monday.

I have also added in 30-60 minutes of exercise (weight lifting, running, dancing, and swimming depending on the day) 5-6 times a week. I've done this since the beginning of my journey.

My friends are telling me I'm overdoing it, that I need to eat closer to 1500 calories, shouldn't do so much exercise etc... But I'm not getting any results at 1200 calories, and I know that 300 more a day isn't going to magically make me lose weight! And I'm definitely not hurting myself when I exercise. A little muscle soreness the day after I lift, but nothing abnormal.

Am I just being impatient? Do I just need to wait a few more weeks to see if the adjustments I'm making along the way are effective? I really, really just want to see some progress to convince myself that all this effort isn't a huge waste of time and I'm not just doomed to be fat my entire life :( I haven't been a healthy weight since like... Kindergarten. I don't know any life other than obesity, so it's very hard to believe I can even change it.

Sorry for the long read, guys. Any advice would be amazing.

Edit: I'm also not noticing any changes in the way I look or the way my clothing fits yet either. It's so disheartening.
